TANTUM VERDE Spray

Tantum verde spray can be used for pain and irritation in the mouth and throat, such as sore throat caused by a cold, scratching or burning in the throat, difficulty swallowing, inflammation of the mucous membrane of the mouth and throat, inflammation of the gums and periodontitis. The active ingredient benzydamine has anti-inflammatory and local anesthetic properties. The spray acts locally and the effect sets in rather quickly after application.
It is relatively easy to use, convenient for traveling, cortisone and anti-biotic free and approved for use from the age of 2 years.

Application:

The spray can be used 2-6x daily in the appropriate dose:

Children from 2 to 6 years of age with a body weight over 4 kg: 1 spray puff per 4 kg of body weight (maximum 4 sprays).
children between 6 and 12 years: 4 sprays
Adults and adolescents over 12 years: 4 to 8 sprays each

How to use?
Spray the medicine onto the affected area(s) in the throat and pharynx. Do not inhale.
Or: Spray the medicine on the affected area(s) of the oral mucosa.

Duration of use?
The symptoms usually improve within 3 days. If symptoms persist for longer, you must consult your doctor.

Overdose?
An overdose can lead to nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, irritation of the esophagus, dizziness, hallucinations, restlessness, anxiety and irritability. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor immediately.

As a general rule: Pay particular attention to conscientious dosing, especially with infants, small children and older people. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist about any effects or precautions.

- Take care if you are allergic to painkillers!
- Caution in case of allergy to the sweetener saccharin (E number E 954)!
- The medicine contains small amounts of alcohol and should therefore be avoided by alcoholics.
- Parabens (preservatives e.g. E 214 - E 219) can cause hypersensitivity reactions, even with a time delay.
- There may be drugs with which interactions occur. You should therefore generally inform your doctor or pharmacist of any other medicine you are already taking before starting treatment with a new medicine. Sprühen Sie das Arzneimittel auf die betroffene(n) Stelle(n) der Mundschleimhaut auf. Während des Sprühens sollten Sie den Atem anhalten. Vor der ersten Anwendung sollten Sie mehrmals pumpen bis ein Sprühnebel entsteht. Die Anwendung sollte nur erfolgen, wenn der sichere Umgang mit dem Arzneimittel gewährleistet ist.

Dauer der Anwendung?
Ohne ärztlichen Rat sollten Sie das Arzneimittel nicht länger als 3 Tage anwenden, wenn keine Besserung der Beschwerden nach dieser Zeit eingetreten ist oder die Beschwerden regelmäßig wiederkehren.

Überdosierung?
Bei einer Überdosierung kann es unter anderem zu Schlafstörungen, Unruhe, optischen Halluzinationen, Nesselsucht und Hautausschlag kommen. Bei versehentlichem Verschlucken größerer Mengen wenden Sie sich umgehend an einen Arzt. Es kann unter anderem zu Erbrechen, Bauchschmerzen, Unruhe, Angst, Krämpfe und Fieber kommen.

Generell gilt: Achten Sie vor allem bei Säuglingen, Kleinkindern und älteren Menschen auf eine gewissenhafte Dosierung. Im Zweifelsfalle fragen Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker nach etwaigen Auswirkungen oder Vorsichtsmaßnahmen.
