Remifemin contains an extract of the rhizome of the black cohosh (lat. Cimicifuga racemosa) and is suitable for use in mild menopausal symptoms such as hot flushes, sweating and sleep disturbances.
The efficacy in menopausal symptoms and the harmlessness for breast and uterine tissue have been proven time and again with the special iCR extract from the black cohosh.

How to use?
Take the medicine with liquid (e.g. 1 glass of water).
Duration of use?
You should not use the medicine for longer than 6 months without medical advice.
Overdose?
An overdose can lead to gastrointestinal complaints and diarrhea, among other things. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor immediately.
Have you forgotten to take it?
Continue taking the medicine as normal (i.e. not double the amount) at the next prescribed time.

How do the ingredients of the medicine work?
The ingredients come from the black cohosh plant and act as a natural mixture. About the plant itself:
- Appearance: erect, perennial shrub with a thick, densely rooted rhizome and large, two to three-pinnate leaves; the whitish flowers are arranged in clusters
- Occurrence: Europe, North America, Asia
- Main constituents: Triterpene glycosides (cimicifugoside, actein, cimiracemosides A, C and F)
- Plant parts and preparations used: Extract from the underground parts (rhizome)
Black cohosh rhizome extracts influence the effect of female hormones, especially estrogen, and are therefore used to treat menopausal symptoms.

What about pregnancy and breastfeeding?
- Pregnancy: According to current knowledge, the medicine should not be used.

What should you be aware of?
- Take care if you are intolerant to lactose. If you have to follow a diabetic diet, you should take the sugar content into account.

This also applies to medicines that you buy yourself, use only occasionally or have been using for some time.
