LEFAX Pump-Liquid is a medicine recommended for treating excessive gas and air accumulation in the gastrointestinal tract. This product contains simethicone, a surface-active substance with a deflating effect that reduces gas build-up and helps fight flatulence and bloating in both adults and infants.

About LEFAX Pump-Liquid

LEFAX Pump-Liquid treats symptoms caused by the formation and accumulation of gas in the gastrointestinal tract, such as bloating, flatulence, fullness or tension in the upper abdomen. It is also recommended for treating symptoms of infantile colic in babies over 3 months of age.

The active ingredient Simeticon in the medicine works locally in the intestine without being absorbed into the body. It disintegrates the foam that is produced during digestion inside the intestine and helps to quickly release air from the stomach.

How is LEFAX Pump-Liquid used?

The handy dosing pump allows easy and precise one-handed administration. It is important to shake the liquid vigorously before use.

If the medicine has not been prescribed by your doctor, the following doses should be administered:

Infants: 1-2 pumps (equivalent to 0.5-1 ml suspension)
Children aged 1-6 years: 2 pumps (equivalent to 1 ml suspension)
Children aged 7-14 years: 2-4 pumps (equivalent to 1-2 ml suspension)
Adolescents from 14 years and adults: 4 pumps (equivalent to 2 ml suspension)

Infants receive LEFAX at milk meals. Mothers can easily pump it into their baby's bottle or when breastfeeding with a spoon.

Children and adults take each single dose 3-5 times/day, at or after meals. If necessary, the medicine can also be taken at bedtime. You can take LEFAX undiluted or with a little liquid.

Air in the stomach, flatulence, abdominal cramps and feelings of tension are not only unpleasant, but also sometimes painful - especially in babies with, for example, infant colic (3-month colic). Lefax Pump-Liquid with contained simeticon dissolves these gas bubbles so that the excess air can escape and the discomfort is relieved relatively quickly and effectively. It is well tolerated and the active ingredient only acts purely physically and locally in the gastrointestinal tract.

How to use?
