The BRONCHIPRET drops are suitable for use with a persistent cough with viscous mucus caused by acute inflammatory bronchial diseases and/or acute inflammation of the respiratory tract. The herbal medicine with thyme and ivy is intended to loosen stuck mucus, make it easier to cough up, soothe the bronchi and relieve inflammation in the bronchi.

The BRONCHIPRET drops can be dosed using the enclosed measuring cup. The bottle should be shaken well before each use.

Children aged 6-11 can take 1.3 ml 3 times a day.

Adolescents aged 12 and over and adults can take 2.6 ml 3 times a day.

Mode of action
Wie wirken die Inhaltsstoffe des Arzneimittels?

Das Arzneimittel besteht aus einer Wirkstoffkombination von Thymian und Efeu. Thymian besitzt neben desinfizierenden auch auswurffördende (hustenlösende) Eigenschaften. Letztere beruhen vermutlich auf der Anregung der feinen Haare der Bronchien zu schnelleren Bewegungen. Zusätzlich werden Zellen der Lunge angeregt, vermehrt dünnflüssigeres Sekret auszuscheiden. In den Bronchien löst Thymian Krämpfe. Die im Efeu enthaltenen Stoffe sind in der Lage, ähnlich wie Seife die Oberflächenspannung der Flüssigkeit, die die Lungenbläschen bedeckt, herabzusetzen. Festsitzende Sekrete werden dadurch gelöst und können abgehustet werden.

- Stillzeit: Von einer Anwendung wird nach derzeitigen Erkenntnissen abgeraten. Eventuell ist ein Abstillen in Erwägung zu ziehen.
